Does screen time before bed help you fall asleep?

Let's debunk this common myth about sleep

We all know that we're not supposed to be on our screens for something along the lines of 30-60 minutes before bed. However, we all still fall victim to getting trapped on our screens after coming home from a long day of work/university/school before or as we know we should be going to bed. All we want to do is relax and take our mind off of all the stressors from the day. However, all these devices emit 'blue light' which many of us have been told 'disrupts our sleep cycle'.

…But what does this actually mean?

and why is this sleep so important?
